Santa Eulària des Riu
The municipality Santa Eulària des Riu, also named Santa Eulària or Santa Eulàlia lies in the east of the island. The capital of this municipality and the municipality itself have the same name. In this region are large ranges of nature areas with wild flowers and typical pinetrees. On the small nice beaches here a lot of tourists enjoy their holidays in the summer. Despite all large numbers of tourists, the cities of Santa Gertrudis, Sant Carles and Santa Eulària maintained their typical Spanish character. Hippymarkets
Every Wednesday the village Es Canar organizes a big highlight with the biggest hippymarket on the island. At the hippymarket of Punta Arabi, hippies come together already for over 40 years to sell their handmade clothing, jewelry and art. In this cheerful atmosphere there is live music and you can eat and drink on different spots on the market. In the village Sant Carles is a hippymarket every Saturday. The hippymarket Las Dalias opens their doors also in the summertime on monday- and tuesdayevening. A visit to one of the hippymarkets is an absolute highlight.
